Noel is CEO of Australian National Low Emissions Coal R&D (ANLEC R&D), the initiative to conduct research that enables carbon capture and storage, for demonstration facilities in Australia.
Noel’s areas of expertise lie in technical challenges confronting CCS and research programmes required to overcome them. In the past he has worked for Rio Tinto and BHP in engineering roles. Noel holds a PhD in Mineral Resources Engineering from University of Queensland and a BSC of Engineering (Hons) in Process Metallurgy from Imperial College, London.
