Dr Richard Aldous

Chief Executive, CO2CRC Ltd

Richard is CEO of Cooperative Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Technologies and has taken a leading role in developing carbon capture and storage technology in Australia. His background includes geosciences, chemical engineering, business development and planning.

Prior taking up his current role, Richard was Deputy Secretary, Energy and Earth Resources, in the Victorian Department of Primary Industries. His work focused on aspects such as geological survey, energy technology innovation, investment attraction, and the regulation of mining and resource pipeline development. He has also held key roles in the resources industry in Australia, South Africa, UK, and Zimbabwe, and has worked with Newcrest, Iluka, BHP Billiton, and the Western Mining Corporation. He holds a PhD in Geology.
