Martin Ferguson: "I think there’s a war on fossil fuels. The environmental movement, it doesn’t matter whether it’s coal or gas, be it...in methane gas or...offshore gas, shale gas. There is a group in the global community that’s totally opposed to anything other than renewable energy. It’s not a scientific debate. It’s an emotional debate. And I might say for some communities a very difficult debate because fossil fuels are the driver of jobs and the survival of local communities. And whether some of these environmental groups like it or not there’s a growing demand for energy, especially in the non OECD world where there’s huge poverty and they’re entitled to reliable energy."
